Dreamlife March 16 - Robin

Type:  Sci-fi movie-like
People: George Clooney, Michelle Obama, Marcia Brady
Featured:  a amusement part ride that can change time

A brilliant American engineer (played by George Clooney) is touring a new amusement park designed by a Japanese genius.  He is the Disney of this century.  George and his wife (played by Michelle Obama) get on one ride which is a tour of the future.  It has the ability to change time, make it faster or longer, relative to the rest of the world.  When you get off the ride, you have gained or lost whatever time it was set for.

Another engineer who works for the Disney-like guy is the one giving the tour. Michelle and George get in the ride and there is a countdown that says: "You will reenter in x minutes".  In this case it said ten.  As the ride was going, the display changed and said: "You will reenter in 4270 years."  When that happened, Michelle gave George a big "this is a fine mess you have got us into" look.  They didn't know if it was the tour-guy who was doing this to them, or it was the Disney-like guy.  They had lots of time for speculation as years rolled by living in this little capsule.

They were given foul-tasting toothpaste, just to be mean.

After a few years passed, we find out it was the Disney-like guy who was the one who ordered the time change.  He said to his wife:  "You know I really liked George, he is so charming.  Let's have him over for cocktails."  So, they were out of the capsule and plotting to escape at the cocktail party.  The host asked me (I became George's wife) what I wanted.  I said, "bourbon, rocks".

At this point—this is not a dream—I awoke and went back over the details of my dream to record them here.  But—this is a dream—I was watching previews at a movie theater and the coming attractions featured a movie with the exact plot, except it was staring Marcia Brady of the Brady Bunch with George Clooney.  So I realized I stole my dream from a movie.

Annotation

Well, it is a pretty straight-forward dream without need for much annotation.  But...

Toothpaste and tooth care are now something I have to focus on due to losing the full use of my salivary glands during the cancer treatment.  I think about teeth a whole lot everyday.

Marcia Brady was my favorite Brady.

I do drink bourbon, rocks.
